IPHF GRANT APPLICATION

About the Grant

Insignia Pathway is a non-profit corporation committed to expanding the post-acute care workforce in the United States (“U.S.”). The Insignia Pathway Immigration Fund (“IPIF”) is dedicated to removing the financial barriers that discourage foreign Registered Nurses (“R.N.s”) from obtaining visas to enter the U.S. and work for state licensed skilled nursing facilities.

The IPHF provides foreign R.N.s who are passionate about working with the skilled nursing resident population access to financial resources to help offset their initial housing expenses. Please see the FAQ Section of the IPHF page of our website for further details about IPHF Grants.

Eligibility Requirements and Criteria for Application
  1. Only non-U.S. citizens may apply for this grant.
  2. At the time of application, applicants must be sponsored for a U.S. immigrant (I-140) or non-immigrant (TN, E-3 or H1-B) visa based on the position of R.N. by a U.S. state licensed skilled nursing facility OR a nurse staffing agency that will employ the applicant to work in a U.S. state licensed skilled nursing facility.  This means that you must have a visa petition pending with USCIS (I-140 or H1-B) or, for TN or E3 Visas, your sponsor/employer must have provided you with a Port of Entry or Job Offer Letter that supports your admission/entry to the U.S.
  3. If at the time of application an I-140 or H1-B visa petition has not yet been filed but the applicant is able through another type of visa to work for the sponsor/employer, please submit a copy of the applicant’s signed job offer/sponsorship letter and a statement explaining how the applicant is able to start work for the sponsor/employer pending filing/approval of an I-140 or H1-B visa.
  4. Applicants must commit to working as a Registered Nurse in a U.S. state licensed skilled nursing facility for a three (3) year minimum period.
  5. Applicants must complete this application in its entirety, including answering the question about how housing support would help the applicant.
  6. The IPHF is intended to pay for housing expenses incurred by the R.N., not the sponsor/employer.
  7. Applicants should not apply for this grant until they are within 120 days from arrival in the state of intended employment.  Grant award amounts are determined based on market rental rates which are most accurately determined near the time of arrival.
  8. An applicant may only be approved for one IPHF grant.
